Benjamin W. Hunter, OM Community Organizer I pride myself with making a difference in the lives of others. I adopted the credo 'help people to help themselves' very early in my maturation. That manifests itself today as the Oakland Mills Community Organizer and in my prior capacities as a former schoolteacher, entrepreneur, and Program Manager at the following not-for-profit organizations: Neighborhood Housing Services of NYC and the American Diabetes Association. I am the proud father of 9-year old Brandon and blessed husband of Kimberly. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and a proud alumnus of Howard University. In addition, I enjoy watching movies, traveling, dining out, basketball, boxing, football, and baseball…a die hard YANKEE FAN who welcomes the jeers from Orioles and Red Sox fans alike! My Philosophy: Making a difference is very challenging, but worthwhile when you can see, hear or speak of the results. The challenge will never be the idea or plan for change, but how we bring the best out of people to implement the change. Respectfully yours! Ben Hunter (Return to Board and Revitalization News) |
